Britain's PTE fleets
Welcome
The passenger transport executives shaped municipal transport in the larger councils in the last quarter of the Twentieth Century. They were big enough to seek their own designs - and most did. They were formed from the local municipal fleets, and in at least one instance (WMPTE) took over the main National Bus Company operator's strongest operating area.
